CZAR Athletics began as a college thesis paper and a dream. As a youth, high school, and college athlete, Coach Fred found his passion in sports, even continuing to play rec basketball during his 20-year career in the United States Air Force. No matter where he was in the world (and there have been many, many places), watching the Lakers and the 49ers felt like home. From a young age, Coach Fred wanted to create a gym. A place where people of all ages, races, physical abilities, and body types could come together with one purpose: to improve themselves. After having children and once again being surrounded by youth sports, Coach Fred realized his passion for youth and mentoring. And his two passions merged into one- mentoring and coaching youth athletes.

Upon settling in Piedmont, Oklahoma for their final duty station, Coach Fred and Heather began turning his dream into a reality. Their goal: build a community of like-minded staff, athletes, parents, and coaches to improve athletic performance, empower youth athletes, improve youth sports (recreational, competitive, and school), and give back to the community (through free camps, scholarships, and supporting community events).

CZAR Athletics strives to treat every athlete as the unique person they are by developing a training plan to help them seize their full athletic potential. They provide lifelong skills in strength and conditioning and values of self-care. And perhaps most importantly, the confidence each athlete builds may just surpass the muscles they build.
